How do I manage my users' roles and permissions?
Owners set each user's role and can add per-person exceptions on the user's Configuration tab.
Each user has a role: Owner, Admin, Coordinator or Recruiter. The role decides what they see and can do, and the menu only shows what their role allows.
Change a user's role
- Click Users and open the user.
- Go to Configuration, choose the Role, and click Save role.
Give one person an exception
- On the user's Configuration tab, check or uncheck boxes such as View invoices, See pay rates, Approve timesheets or Financial exports.
- Click Save configuration. To undo, click Reset all to role defaults.
Good to know
- Changes take effect right away and are logged.
- You can't change your own role, remove the last Owner, or give someone a permission you don't have.
- To deactivate one of your users: Configuration, then Active status, then Deactivate.
- You can resend an invite from the Users list. Adding a brand new user is done by BOSS; contact BOSS Support.
- Your clients' users have the same Configuration tab. To deactivate or reactivate a client user, click Ask BOSS to deactivate or Ask BOSS to reactivate.
