How do stipends work on an assignment?

Set a stipend when you create the assignment, or request a change later.

A stipend is an extra amount on the assignment, separate from the hourly or salary amounts.

On a new assignment

  1. Click Assignments, then New assignment.
  2. Set Enable stipend? to Yes.
  3. Answer Bill Stipend? and choose Stipend Frequency.

On an assignment that already exists

  1. Click Request changes, then Request field changes.
  2. In Stipends, edit Amount, Frequency (Hourly, Daily, or Weekly), and Detail.
  3. Use Add stipend amount for a new one, or check End this stipend.
  4. Click Submit request. Nothing changes until BOSS approves it.

Good to know

  • On a change request, the form says a stipend is not billed separately and the bill amount stays 0.
  • On a new assignment, Bill Stipend? is a separate question. Billing the stipend is not the usual choice. Confirm it with your client before you turn it on.
  • If the worksite is far from the associate, the form can show a distance warning. Read it before you submit.
