What are the timesheet views, shifts, and breaks?
Timesheet, Simplified Entry, and Calendar. Shifts are the rows of time.
Open a week in Timesheets. The view switch is Timesheet, Simplified Entry, and Calendar. Associates see the same switch.
- In Timesheet, click Add shift, enter the times, and click Save shift. Use Add break for an unpaid break. 1099 weeks say Add entry instead of Add shift.
- Simplified Entry is total hours for the day. It does not include breaks. If the week has breaks, remove them in Calendar before you edit hours here.
- Calendar is the week laid out by day.
- Click Save to keep a draft. Click Save & submit when the week is ready. 1099 weeks say Save & issue invoice.
More actions can include Submit 0 Hours, Add 40 Hours, Delete shifts, and Undo Submit. 1099 wording is Issue 0 Hours and Undo issue.
Good to know
- The week runs Sunday through Saturday. Submit by Sunday at 11:59 PM Eastern.
- PREVIEW on the timesheet is the pay and bill preview, not a fourth way to type time.
